Nima, Accra, Ghana – an impression that will last

According to my guidebook, Accra is a very friendly city but there is one neighbourhood a tourist would better avoid: Nima. That, of course, is a good reason to go see that for ourselves.

No surprise, this was a very friendly, be it very poor, neighbourhood. Indeed best to avoid after darkness falls, at least for the complete absence of any lighting combined with the poverty.

I am sorry to report that I have already forgotten the names of the food items I got to taste along the way, but they were actually delicious. For any and all other thoughts, I will let the pictures speak for themselves (click for large), this has made quite an impression on the two of us.
